About Me
Hello! My name Is Loraine Gehm. I've been dancing just about my whole life, from the age of three. I studied Ballet and Pointe until college, preforming in multiple states across the U.S. My passion for dance lead me to Ballroom and Latin where I started preforming with Simply Ballroom dance studio. I began teaching in 2011 and fell in love with helping others realize their own abilities, whether they knew they had them or not. I always encourage my students to build each other up and enjoy the experience of learning this new skill together. Watching my students grow from stumbling over each other to comfortably moving around the dance floor as one always makes me smile. My goal in teaching is to bring people closer and grow together while learning a unique skill they can enjoy with one another.

I currently teach out of a studio in Frontenac, MO. It is very open and friendly and the people are always warm and welcoming. It is a very comfortable setting in which to learn to dance. I am willing to travel to other locations if requested.

Married in October of 2015 myself, I love working with soon-to-be-married couples! The excitement, nerves, planning, and hours of research are always evident. The excitement about learning how to dance together, however, is not always shared in the beginning. Honestly, getting in the front door is the hardest part. After introductions I'm usually informed that I have an impossible challenge ahead of me. However after the first lesson, (sometimes after the second,) they come to realize that it is actually FUN! From that point forward, it is no longer an obligation to learn how to dance together, but rather a fun activity that brings them together outside of their crazy lives of planning and working. By their big day they are able to walk onto the dance floor with confidence in front of all their friends and family, focus on each other, and dance together with genuine smiles that show how happy they are in one another's arms.
